Environmental Sunnahs Jr Khalifah Patches

Inspired by the book Environmental Sunnahs- let's learn the Sunnah, and then LIVE it! There are 7 patch designs included, illustrated by Erum Khalili: Reuse, Recycle, Wander & Pray, Masjid Cleanup, Educate, Al Khaliq, and Plant a Native.

The purpose of these patches is to help mini Muslims:

1. Earn hassanat in fun ways

2. Gain the pleasure of Allah

3. Learn by doing

4. Learn how to be Jr Khalifahs by caring for the gifts Allah (Swt) has given us (ie the Earth and everything in it)

5. Learn the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (saw)

6. Gain a sense of accomplishment through work

7. Be a positive example to other children

8. Learn that change is possible but requires effort

9. There are no shortcuts, Allah (Swt) is watching

Included is a users guide for parents/scout leaders with requirements and suggestions for children to "earn" each patch. And a great companion to the patches would be the Evnironmental Sunnahs book which teaches children the importance of the environment according to Islamic tradition.   (available on our website under Books).
